The Media Luna Marlins beat the Surrey Thunderbirds, 17-5, at Surrey Field. Rafael Guevara was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 22-year old right fielder was a menace to Surrey all day. Media Luna raised its record to 43-39 with the win.

With Media Luna leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Guevara hit a fastball from Victor Valenzuela for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Marlins ahead, 4-0.

Guevara said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
