Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Victor Ramirez the River Falls Falcons defeated the Santa Clara Vampyres, 4-2. Angel Maldonado was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Earning his 18th save for River Falls was Tony Munoz.
Right Fielder Harvey Reyes made an impact for River Falls, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Tony Izquierdo in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Reyes went 2 for 4 with a double.
"I thought we played a nice game," Ramirez told the River Falls Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
