Blue Jays Win with Late Heroics
The Toronto Blue Jays did just enough to nip the Victoria Cougars, 5-4, in 11 innings. Toronto right fielder Ben Waugh, in particular, had a standout performance. The first-place Blue Jays have won 9 consecutive games.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Waugh hit a fastball from Joe Pierce for a run-scoring single. The Blue Jays, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We're playing like we're capable of," said Toronto manager Bryan Fulcher.
