The Springfield Sentries knocked off the Saint John Alpines by the score of 6-5. Orlando Torres provided some pop, going 1-for-1 with 1 home run. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Springfield.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Springfield trailing 5-2, Torres jumped on a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Momosuke Egawa and hit a grand slam home run to left. With one swing, the Sentries had a walk-off win.
Torres told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."
