Big Day for Contreras in 11-7 Steelhounds Win
Steelhounds left fielder Ricky Contreras put his stamp on his team's 11-7 win over the San Carlos Pipers. Contreras went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for Brighton in the contest. Danny Bonilla, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. The Steelhounds are now 57-29.

Cody Gounaris came through with a big-time hit for Brighton. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 8-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Brighton manager Freddie Baseball.
