Rodriguez Lifts Steelhounds to 7-3 Win
Izzy Rodriguez led the Brighton Steelhounds to a nifty 7-3 win over the Rancho Cucamonga. The Brighton first baseman was a force of nature. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. At 59-29, the Steelhounds find themselves in first place in the RCL LA East Division.

Roberto Chavez hit a 3-run home run off Isidro Velasco in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Steelhounds ahead, 6-3. In addition to the homer, Chavez had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Brighton manager Freddie Baseball.
