Stars Obliterate Outlaws, 25-2
The Niagara Stars got production up and down the lineup while beating the Calgary Outlaws, 25-2. One standout was shortstop Luke Aastrom. Aastrom, who is tied for 3rd in the LBL in hits with 17, was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 3 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 6. Arvin Lent, the winner, improved to 2-0. He held Calgary to 2 runs on 6 hits over 7.2 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Calgary, with the loss, is still a robust 7-3.

Leland Crowley had a big 2-run home run for the Stars in the top of the second inning. With Niagara leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a changeup from Roger Porter and swatted a home run to left. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 3-0.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Crowley told the Niagara Today.
