The Niagara Stars defeated the London Monarchs, 13-10, at Hatchets Ballpark. Ed Buell produced 3 singles and 1 double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Niagara used a clutch at-bat from Steve Rattray to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stars ahead, 10-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
