Cruz Silences Arlington Bats
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Tulsa Titans and the Arlington Stars, pitcher Nelson Cruz was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tulsa left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Titans win. With the win over Arlington, the Titans improved to 51-45.
Cruz was in the zone all game. He frustrated Arlington hitters while giving the Titans 8 innings of quality work. Cruz threw 110 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
Afterward, Titans manager Ezra Boudouani said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
