Bloomington Hoosiers starter Hirohito Tsutsui pitched a strong game against the Springfield Sentries at Sentries Park, leading the Hoosiers to victory, 4-2. Bill Rangel closed the door for Bloomington, picking up his 8th save of the year. The Hoosiers now have a record of 33-63.
Danny Benavides, who leads the TLA in stolen bases with 13, had a direct impact on the outcome. Benavides contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Bloomington up, 3-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Bloomington manager Matthew Buchanan.
