Rattlers Get Gritty, 4-3 Win
The Mojave Rattlers managed to get by the River Falls Falcons, 4-3, at Falcons Field. Mojave pitcher Craig Wood set himself apart with his performance. Craig Wood picked up the win in relief for Mojave, while Nate Scott took the loss. The 5th-place Rattlers are 38-61.

Mojave used the timely hitting of Jeff Burritt to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rattlers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Burritt told a Mojave Herald reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
