Benavides Steals Spotlight, But Last Laugh Belongs to Ft. Worth
The Bloomington Hoosiers got a superb performance from center fielder Danny Benavides, but the Ft. Worth Werewolves still won the game, 10-8. Benavides went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Jordan Cortez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-6. Luis Ramirez, who is tied for 3rd in the TLA in holds with 4, was tagged with the loss. The save went to Danny Gonzalez, his 7th this season.

Eric Richardson took Bloomington hurler Luis Ramirez deep in the bottom of the eighth. His grand slam home run put the Werewolves on top, 10-8. In all, Richardson had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Richardson told the Ft. Worth News.

The victory puts Ft. Worth at 40-62.
