The Victoria Cougars weathered a fine game by Tulsa first baseman Josh Borga to upend the Titans, 9-5, at Cougars Park. Borga went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Tim Risk, the winner, improved to 4-1. He held Tulsa to 3 runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Bobby Kolar got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

In the bottom of the second, Manny Bobadilla delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Victoria second baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Cougars in front, 9-5.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Bobadilla told a Victoria Herald reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
