Ochoa Goes Off, But Lions Win
Billings West second baseman Juan Ochoa had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ochoa was 4 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 5, even as Lerna beat the Golden Bears, 15-12. Tom Goggin earned the save for Lerna, his 1st. Billings West drops to 2-3.

Lerna designated hitter Joe Schuster contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 11th hit of the season and put the Lions ahead, 8-6.

"Very good win for our guys," said Schuster.
