The Tioga Central Tigers beat the Topeka West Chargers, 15-13, at Alleycats Ballpark. Tioga Central second baseman Mike Vanstone had the hot bat. He hit 3 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring three times. Tioga Central pitcher Jonathan Oakes got the win. He's now 1-1. John Mahaffy was tagged with the loss. Bobby Richey nailed down the save.

Everett Califano helped out the Tioga Central cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter drew 3 walks in 6 plate appearances. He scored 3 times.
