Fisher Goes Wild, But Lions Win
The Lerna Lions weathered an outstanding game by Derby second baseman Bob Fisher to topple the Panthers, 15-14. Fisher went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. At 5-2, the Lions have played well so far.

Lerna won the game in part because of Matt Thweatt. The center fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lions ahead, 15-14. For the game, Thweatt had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Thweatt told the Lerna Chronicle.
