Toronto right fielder Ben Waugh made his presence felt in the 14-4 Blue Jays triumph over the Ft. Worth Werewolves. Waugh was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Willie Garcia came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 7-1. The first-place Blue Jays bumped their record to 102-11.

Toronto first baseman Brian Ruddock contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 117th hit of the season and put the Blue Jays ahead, 6-3.
