Baie-Comeau Stymied by Jefferson, 1-0
|
Jefferson turned a good effort from starter Curt Swidzinski into a win over the Baie-Comeau All Blacks at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. The Indians won the game, 1-0. Jordan Forehand nailed down the save. The win gives Jefferson a record of 5-4.
Keith Quick drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Jefferson. The 15-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chris Yates. It was his 10th walk of the season.
"At the end of the day, it's about putting up zeros," said Swidzinski.
