LoanDepot Park was the site of a competitive game between the Media Luna Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays topped the Media Luna Marlins, 5-4, in TML LA action at LoanDepot Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Toronto pitcher Mark Thomsen. Thomsen, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Sean Meloche earned the save, his 5th in 6 tries.

It could have been a different outcome for Toronto, had it not been for Troy Dandridge, the 22-year old first baseman . Dandridge contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Toronto up, 3-0.
