Hoosiers Go 10 Innings to Beat San Carlos, 9-4
The Bloomington Hoosiers defeated the San Carlos Pipers, 9-4, in 10 innings in TML LA action at Pipers Grove. Bloomington pitcher Antonio Tejera had a standout performance. The win cannot erase the fact that Bloomington still has a disappointing 39-77 record.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Danny Benavides came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing San Carlos pitcher Omar Moreno, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Bloomington on top, 5-4.

Benavides told a Bloomington Daily News reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
