Rancho Upended, 5-2, by Victory Lakes
|
Victory Lakes took on Rancho in front of a lively crowd.
The Victory Lakes Crawfish finished off the Rancho Cucamonga, 5-2. Much of the credit belonged to first baseman Bobby Castaneda. Castaneda went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Crawfish. Matt Ture picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Mike Palacios suffered the loss. Adam Butler was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 12 save opportunities.
Victory Lakes took a 4-2 lead on Roberto Mendoza's 11th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Mendoza hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Rancho pitcher Mike Palacios visibly frustrated.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Victory Lakes manager Sam Reynolds.
Their 61-57 record puts the Crawfish third in the TML LA East Division.
