Hoosiers 8-6 Victors Over Rancho
|
Starting pitcher Alex Quevedo pitched well enough to help the Bloomington Hoosiers beat the Rancho Cucamonga, 8-6. Jose Rios sewed up the save, his 8th. Bloomington is third in the TML LA West Division with a record of 63-58.
Miles Mandeville drew 2 walks in 5 trips to the plate for Bloomington. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jose Escobar. It was his 56th walk of the season.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Mandeville. "You've got to get results."
