Crawfish Strike Down Rattlers, 9-3
|
The Victory Lakes Crawfish defeated the Mojave Rattlers, 9-3, at Crawfish Grounds. Victory Lakes shortstop Robert Santiago had a superb performance. He was 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3. Nick Ells, the winner, is now 2-0. He struck out 2 and walked 4 over 5 innings, while allowing 1 run on 5 hits. The Crawfish improved their record to 65-58 with the win over Mojave.
Francisco Arechiga had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the third for Victory Lakes. With the bases loaded and the Crawfish leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
In comments to the Victory Lakes Chronicle, Arechiga insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
