Pipers Lose 12-6 Decision to Toronto
The Toronto Blue Jays beat the San Carlos Pipers, 12-6, at Pipers Grove. Ben Waugh, in particular, was impressive. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Blue Jays are now 112-13, while the Pipers fall to 31-95.

Had Ken Currie not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Currie hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Blue Jays.

"This isn't Disneyland," said Currie. "We're not interested in making someone else's dreams come true."
