Aiken shortstop Tristão Belim had 7 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Mojave Rattlers, 18-8. The win puts the Thoroughbreds at 92-37, while the Rattlers drop to 55-71.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Thoroughbreds designated hitter Malachi Wichert hit a fastball from Ricky Betancourt for a 2-run single. Just like that, Aiken was up, 7-6.

"There's ebbs and flows in the season and right now we're just looking to finish strong," said Wichert.
