Mojave 6-5 Victors at LoanDepot Park

The Mojave Rattlers besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Media Luna third baseman Saverio Gentileschi by beating the Marlins, 6-5, at LoanDepot Park. Gentileschi went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Eddie Rivas picked up the win in relief. Francisco Acuna took the loss for Media Luna. The Rattlers, at 56-72, sit in 4th place in the TML LA East Division.
It could have been a different outcome for Mojave, had it not been for Edwin Aguilar, the 20-year old center fielder . Aguilar contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Mojave up, 6-5.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Aguilar, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
