The Arlington Stars were defeated, 3-2, by the Surrey Thunderbirds at Surrey Field, even though Mike Goodwin pitched well for Arlington. Surrey reliever Josh O'Neal picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Mike Goodwin took the loss. Chris Falkner earned the save, his 7th, for the Thunderbirds.

The Thunderbirds got a big at-bat from center fielder Luis Polanco. For the game, Polanco was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Surrey a 2-1 lead.

"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Sergio Castaneda.

The Thunderbirds sit in 5th place in the RCL LA West Division with a record of 64-68.
