Dan Knopp did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Estación Juanita Red Wings from being beaten, 9-6, to the Brighton Steelhounds at Steelhounds Grounds. Knopp was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Joe Sharp came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 9-2. Brighton has now won 7 games in a row.

Brighton took the lead, 8-6, on Cody Gounaris's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Estación Juanita pitcher Efrain Cabrera in the bottom of the eighth.
