Kay Goes Deep Twice, Helps Atlantics Top Rattlers, 8-1
Led by 22-year-old Matt Kay, the Cuautitlan Izcalli Atlantics downed the Mojave Rattlers, 8-1. Kay belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Cuautitlan Izcalli. The 'W' lifts Cuautitlan Izcalli's record to 61-78.

Kirk Elstner had a big bases-clearing double for the Atlantics in the bottom of the third inning. With Cuautitlan Izcalli leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a forkball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Joaquin Ramos and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Atlantics ahead, 5-0.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Elstner told the Cuautitlan Izcalli Citizen.
