The Springfield Sentries took Ruben Fernandez's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Rattlers Field. The final score had Springfield getting past the Rattlers, 3-1, in 11 innings. Fernandez over 6.2 innings allowed no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 8. By defeating Mojave, the 5th-place Sentries improved to 59-84.

Jesus Urrutia had a direct impact on the outcome. Urrutia contributed a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put Springfield up, 3-1.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Sentries manager Barrett Jackson, "I like our chances."
