The Brighton Steelhounds wanted a good start from Rúbem Aldeinha -- and he delivered one. The result was a 5-1 Brighton win over the Saint John Alpines at Steelhounds Grounds. Danny Pepin locked down his 23rd save. Brighton, now 98-46, has won 16 straight games.

Brighton second baseman Angel Zamora contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 41st hit of the season and put the Steelhounds ahead, 4-1.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Aldeinha.
