Sentries Rally For 4-2 Win
|
Bloomington got a valiant performance from pitcher Alfredo Rojas, but it wasn't enough to beat the Springfield Sentries. Springfield won the game, 4-2. Rojas threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Picking up the save was 19-year old left-handed pitcher Sergio Perez. With the victory, the Sentries upped their record to 87-57.
Timo de Munnik, who is tied for 9th in the TLA in triples with 5, had a direct impact on the outcome. de Munnik contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Springfield up, 3-2.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," de Munnik said.
