No one was more impactful than Manny Gomez in the 3-1 Victoria win over Arlington. Gomez, who is tied for 9th in the RLA in triples with 7, went 2-2 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. Arlington now owns a losing streak of 5 games.

Victoria used a well-timed hit by Alan Lewis to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cougars ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Victoria skipper Tony Varela.
