Blue Jays Upend Hoosiers, 5-4
|
Toronto picked up a win at Hoosiers Stadium, bumping off the Bloomington Hoosiers, 5-4. Pitcher Danny Corona was a major reason the Blue Jays emerged victorious. The winning continues for Toronto, with the latest triumph making it 8 straight.
Toronto used a clutch at-bat from Ben Waugh to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
