The Mojave Rattlers used a great performance from Victor Rodriguez, who is tied for 10th in the TLA with a 10.7 K/9 rate, to beat the Rancho Cucamonga, 1-0, at Steelers Park. The Rattlers win now puts them at 66-84.
Javy Cotto had a direct impact on the outcome. Cotto contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Mojave up, 1-0.
"Victor's focus was outstanding. The way he handled every moment -- when there was a little trouble, he didn't lose his tempo or his rhythm," said Mojave manager Jimmy Bernard.
