Crawfish Sneak Past Rattlers, 2-1

The Mojave Rattlers and Victory Lakes Crawfish riveted fans at Crawfish Grounds.
Victory Lakes pitcher Alex Romero did his part in helping his team defeat the Mojave Rattlers, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Victory Lakes pitcher John Doughty earned the win, hiking his record to 4-4. Victor Molina suffered the loss.
Marty Noble helped out the Victory Lakes cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a solo home run. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk.
"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Noble, "but we really needed that win."
After today's action, Victory Lakes sits at 67-93, while Mojave falls to 68-92.
