Mojave Rattlers starter Nobuaki Matsushima was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Victory Lakes Crawfish, 3-1. Ron Burns earned the save for Mojave, his 2nd of the year. The Rattlers upped their record to 70-92.

Mojave used the hitting of Christian Bouton to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rattlers on top, 2-0. For the game, Bouton had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"You score one run, you're not going to win," said Victory Lakes skipper Sam Reynolds. "You can have three Koufaxes and three Drysdales, you're still not going to win."
