Canucks Win Double A League Championship
Friday, October 13th , 2062
The Double A League Championship didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game.
But the Moose Jaw Canucks are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Silicon Valley Hackers 4-2 to advance to the Double A World Series.
"It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Canucks left fielder Kader Kefentse. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire."
Moose Jaw won the final game by a score of 10-2 at Ashton Gate.
Kefentse was named series MVP after hitting .333 with a .385 on-base percentage. He also had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Moose Jaw Canucks will play against the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters in the next round. Niagara Falls won their series against the Wauwatosa Indians 4 games to 1. The Double A World Series schedule will be announced after the Double A League Championship finishes.
