5-Hit Barrage by Herber Saturday, July 7th , 2063 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Randy Herber of the Black Mountain Mountaineers. Herber went on a tear at The Corn Crib and cracked hit after hit off DeKalb pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 20-year-old right fielder had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Herber's personal accolades, the DeKalb Cornhuskers walked off the field with the 7-6 win. Randy Herber hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, tripled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
