Blalock Smacks 5 Hits for Spartans Friday, September 14th , 2063 It was a magical day at the plate for Sandy Springs Spartans third baseman Nick Blalock. The 22-year-old Blalock helped lift Sandy Springs to a win, 13-7, over the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Corn Crib. Blalock smacked 5 hits in 6 at-bats to spark his club. Nick Blalock flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jose Soto in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Joey Marchant in the 9th.
