Jackson Shuts Out Kelowna, 2-0
Friday, May 2nd , 2064
The Kelowna Rockets manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. The Rockets were overpowered by Buzzard's Bay starter Phil Jackson, who hurled his club to victory, 2-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Antonio Moreno said.

Over 9 innings, Jackson blanked Kelowna on 3 hits with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Jackson said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."

His record for the year is 2-1 in 6 starts and Jackson has a 2.13 ERA.
