Stephens Tosses 5-0 Shutout Against Rock River Wednesday, May 28th , 2064 In a remarkable performance, Sandy Springs Spartans starter Jeff Stephens beat the Rock River Rats, 5-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The Spartans hurler finished with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Rock River manager Shunso Sato said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
