Injury Sidelines Jose Pacheco For Year Wednesday, August 13th , 2064 The season is finished for Jose Pacheco of the Boston Whitecaps. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Whitecaps reliever suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Kelowna Rockets. Team doctors said it would take at least 3-4 months to heal. So far, Pacheco has earned 1 save in 17 relief appearances. He has 37 strikeouts and 9 walks in 26.2 innings while registering a 2.70 ERA and a 4-2 won-lost record. |
