Murraysville Shut Out by Metcalfe Friday, August 22nd , 2064 In a seemingly effortless performance, Jim Metcalfe of the Moose Jaw Canucks shot down the Murraysville Peacocks, 7-0, on 7 hits. "Jim was just locating so well and using his pitches," Moose Jaw manager Paul Johnston said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Metcalfe recorded 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Murraysville manager Joseph Kelley said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him." To date this season, Metcalfe has registered 16 starts, 10-5 won-lost mark, 4.03 ERA, 127.1 IP, 105 strikeouts and 38 walks.
