Gerber Tames Pacifica Saturday, October 4th , 2064 Roaring River Steelheads starter Evan Gerber really did a number on the Pacifica Shamrocks, shutting them out, 1-0, on 2 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 5 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Pacifica manager Pedro Mercado. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Gerber."
