Berger Stretches Hit String to 25 Saturday, May 10th , 2064 Cyril Berger, shortstop for the Toronto Blue Jays, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 3 hits in his club's 20-7 victory over the Ft. Worth Werewolves at Exhibition Stadium. "Not the outcome we wanted," Ft. Worth manager Danny Koehl said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Cyril Berger doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run triple in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
