Players Suspended in Rattlers-Pipers Donnybrook Friday, August 15th , 2064 After an intense confrontation, both the Rattlers Javy Cotto and the Pipers Tony Rentas were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Mojave-San Carlos game. Javy Cotto will miss 3 games, while Tony Rentas was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Javy Cotto commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this year, Cotto is hitting .233 with 5 home runs. For the season, Rentas has compiled a 1-4 record with a 6.14 ERA. |
