Ben Waugh, left fielder for the Toronto Blue Jays, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 61 games with 1 hit in his club's 8-4 victory over the Springfield Sentries at Sentries Park.

"Not the outcome we wanted," Springfield manager Barrett Jackson said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment."
Ben Waugh grounded out in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 6th.

For the season, Waugh is batting .474 with 234 hits and 48 home runs. He has scored 180 times and batted in 204.
