In an outstanding mound performance, Kelowna Rockets starter Alex Duran fired a complete-game shutout against the Silicon Valley Hackers at San Jose Municipal Stadium.

Duran was the key to the 4-0 Kelowna win. The 23-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 5 hits and no walks he allowed.

"5 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
