Whitecaps Capture Close Win
The Boston Whitecaps picked up a win at The Studio, dropping the Clearwater Seagulls, 3-2. Danny Arias, who is tied for 9th in the RAA in quality starts with 7, was the difference-maker. Boston reliever Chris Sarne was the winner. His record is now 2-4. The losing pitcher was John Cochrane. At 38-28, the Whitecaps find themselves in third place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Boston. That's when Tristan People hit a run-scoring double off 20-year old right-handed pitcher John Cochrane to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"This place was rockin'," Arias said.
